Subtraction!

Hello! The Grade 1's have been working hard on subtraction! We are learning the "counting back" strategy. For an example, 12 - 5 = We put the big number in our head (we actually touch our head), we use our fingers to represent the low number then we count backwards. As the student counts backwards they need to touch their five fingers. 11,10,9,8,7
Keep trying this strategy Grade 1!
