Learning Subtraction!

Welcome Back Grade 1!!!
The Grade 1's participated in stations today. At each station, the students were practicing subtraction.
**Reports are coming up so we will be working hard to "show what we know"**

Subtraction Stories

Ms. Mortenson used some bus students for creating a subtraction story.  The Grade 1's had to figure out all the different combinations for subtracting 8.     

Sask Express

We really enjoyed watching Sask Express today! They were awesome dancers and singers.

Mrs.Robertson Visits!

Thank you Mrs. Robertson for coming to our classroom and teaching a guided reading lesson!

The Grade One's learned the long a sounds this week.(ai, ay, magic e)

100 Day Party!

We had soooo much fun today! We did many activities that joined us in celebrating the 100th day of school. Thank you to Miss MacNeil (my cousin) for helping with all of the activities!

Stations with Mrs. Michalishen and Mrs. Jones!

The Grade 1's had the opportunity to work with Mrs. Michalishen and Mrs. Jones in stations today. The kids worked on segmenting words, making words, singing, reading on the computer and playing bingo. Great work Grade 1's!

Gotta Keep Reading!

We went to the library to find new books to read!
The Grade 1's then watched the video "Gotta Keep Reading" and then read at their desk before going home today!
